Abyssinia Cement Company is a leading cement producer in Ethiopia, delivering high-quality and low-carbon cement products to its customers.

PPC
PPC is a type of blended cement. It consists of 15-35% pozzolanic material, 4% gypsum and the rest is clinker. PPC as per ECAE code is equivalent to that of 32.5 grades. It can be confidently employed in construction of hydraulic structures, marine works, mass concreting etc.

OPC
Popularly known as grey cement, OPC has 96% clinker and 4% gypsum and other materials. PPC as per ECAE code is equivalent to that of 42.5 grades. It can be confidently employed in runway construction, heavy concrete works etc.

White Cement
It is a kind of cement with white color. It is the same as ordinary gray Portland cement except in respect to color and fineness. It can be confidently employed premium construction project, indoor & exterior decorating.

Agri-Lime
Agricultural lime is a soil amendment product used to condition soil by raising pH levels. It is made from crushed limestone that contains natural nutrients to promote healthy plant growth. When lime is added to agricultural crops, it dissolves and releases a base that counteracts or neutralizes soil acidity. Our factory is working with government to produce and distribute to minster of agriculture with the help of local and international NGO’S.

Gypsum
It is widely used in Ethiopia. It is also used to make Portland cement and drywall, create molds for dinnerware and dental impressions, and to build roads and highways.

Dolomite
Dolomite is used as a source of magnesium metal and of magnesia (MgO), which is a constituent of refractory bricks. Dolostone is often used instead of limestone as an aggregate for both cement and bitumen mixes and also as a flux in blast furnaces.

Abyssinia Cement PLC is located at Oromia National Regional State, North Showa Zone, and Sululta Woreda, Chancho, Buba Kebele .The factory is constructed in a premise of 8.2 hectares. The location of the plant one of the most suitable sites for cement production due to the availability of the infrastructure to the raw materials, market place, skilled human resource, and urban facilities as it is 42 km distant from Addis Ababa.

Abyssinia cement plant was acquired by new local investors March 2023 GC. After the new owners were introduced lots of improvements were made including but not limited to increasing the production capacity, making the work environment safe & conducive to its employees, hiring both permanent & temporary work forces both from the locality & other part of the country as well. In order to properly undertake and perform the production and marketing of the products, the company has employed qualified and experienced managerial and professional employees at various positions.
