Mombasa Cement Limited (MCL) is one of East Africa's Leading Cement producer with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons and from 2012, production capacity will enhance to 1.6 million tons. MCL is most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly cement producers in Eastern Africa. The products of MCL pass through round the clock stringent quality controls standards of both Kenya Bureau of Standards and International specifications.

MCL is producing under the Technical Support of Taiheiyo Cement Corporation of Japan to fulfil its local demands prior to exporting to regional markets. MCL boasts of itself by being awarded the superior Diamond Mark of quality certificate by the Kenya Bureau of Standards symbolising excellent consistent performance on quality and compliance to standards.

MCL was founded in the year 2007 to cater for the building construction segment as one of the top quality cement manufacturer in the East African community and beyond. The firm installed the mother plant at Vipingo, Mombasa for cement clinkerization with a 1 million metric tonnes capacity per annum and cement grinding at Athi River Nairobi. The company, under the "NYUMBA" logo, is dedicated to provide high quality cement to its customers using state of the art technology in its production processes. In our search for perfection, we have partnered with one of the largest Japanese Cement Companies, Taiheiyo, responsible for manufacturing quality cement so as to serve our customers efficiently.
