Prime Fuels (K) Ltd is a leading supplier of oils and petroleum products in East Africa and has one of the most well established distribution network in Africa. 

Established under the leadership of Asif Abdulla, Primefuels is recognised as a trustworthy and professional logistics supplier provider of bulk liquid, dry cargo and petroleum supply, to various markets in the East Africa region. Although there are numerous players in the oil industry, Primefuels is unique because we enjoy the distinction of being the only company in the region which has significant footprint together with major assets and skilled expertise for both road and rail routes.

We began our endeavour with a modest quantity of 6 International Maritime Organization (IMO) tanks in the Kenyan territory. In the year 2001, Primefuels expanded services in Tanzania. Since then, the company has come a long way. Presently, we have a large fleet of 340 trucks and trailers in addition to 250 IMO and LPG tanks. And this fleet is capably managed by our strong team of professionals.

From central hubs in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Mombasa, Kenya Primefuels has concentrated on the development of four (4) trans-national supply and distribution channels in the East/Central Africa region:

1. Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) -> Lake Victoria –> Uganda -> Rwanda/DR Congo
2. Dar es Salaam -> Zambia –> DR Congo -> Malawi
3. Mombasa (Kenya) -> Kampala –> Rwanda –> Eastern DR Congo and South Sudan
4. Beira (Mozambique) -> Zambia –> Zimbabwe -> DR Congo -> Malawi

Lubricants

Exclusive contract to supply Vivo Lubricants to Kibali Gold Mine (Randgold Resources) in Eastern DRC. We supply staffing, warehousing, dispensing and Vendor Managed Inventory at the mine site.

Business Development and Distributorship agreement with Vivo Lubricants in DRC, South Sudan, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Speciality in house expertise in mining lubricants applications and management.

Aviation

Since 2012 Primefuels has been operating the aircraft fuel facility at Mtwara airport in Tanzania. Our service is complete and jet A1 fuel is supplied direct to the customer’s aircraft from our own dedicated storage and ground handling facility at the airport. Our plan now is to leverage our expertise and regulatory status to roll out this service to mid-size and remote airports throughout the region, which have traditionally been under serviced by the large players in the aviation fuelling market. Using our portable storage technology we can also set up temporary aviation solution to the customer.

Supply

Fully licensed and approved to import and supply both local and transit products from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Destination markets covered include Kenya, Uganda, Eastern DRC, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi and Southern DRC.
