Bole Printing Enterprise was established in 1955 G.C by Petros Aslania who was an Ethiopian by law and an Armenian by birth. He had established it in Addis Ababa using a hand driven printing machine and a few number of employees. Since this time on, it was growing in terms of productivity and man power capacity. On 25 may 1965 G.C its name had been changed Central Printing Press, and it was nationalized in 1975 G.C.
In 1986 G.C Central Printing Press was transferred to the present building in Africa Avenue by making a merger with Olympia Printing Press, furthermore it changed its name to Bole Printing Enterprise.
