PAW Freight & Shipping Ltd. is incorporated in the Sudan as a limited liability company. Extensive ground work commenced early in 2005 to form a one-stop shop for freight forwarding services, one of the first real international freight forwarders to be registered in the Sudan, providing expert services to Sudan's rapidly growing oil industry, as well as domestic and foreign companies conducting business in the Sudan.
Air Freight
Through the air cargo services of the world's most reputable airlines, we can offer carriage of goods to literally any airport worldwide - and beyond - with delivery to remote destination through our international network of forwarding correspondents, both for local and international customers from small parcels up to full charter, enjoying the full support of our efficient operations/clearance team and our field coordinators.
Sea Freight
PAW Freight & Shipping, in comparison to most of our competitors in Sudan, is an independent freight forwarder, having no ties nor commitment to a shipping line or -agent, hence we enjoy the comparative advantage; "freedom of choice" to use any shipping line or Sea Freight Service, achieving the most cost-efficient, value for money service, that money can buy, being it high priority precious and perishable cargos with time-constraints for delivery - or - low value cargo where the time-factor is not crucial.
Customs Clearance and Documentation
Through our "in-house" customs clearance personnel, we provide full customs clearance service at Khartoum Airport, Soba Customs Terminal outside Khartoum as well as in Port Sudan, including all the necessary documentation and value added services required in connection with the clearance procedure itself, such as, but not limited to approvals from the various Governmental bodies, Ministries and the Central Bank of Sudan.
Storage and Warehousing
To the disposition of our customers are warehousing facilities in Khartoum and Port Sudan, with space for 12,000MT / up to 4,200 m2 per warehouse - including Temperature-controlled storage for volumes up to 60 m3. At other cities and centres for distribution of cargo we have access to Warehousing and can additionally arrange fenced open-storage with guards wherever required.
Household Goods and Personal Effects
Although not our core business, relocation of household goods and personal effects is one of the services we offer to our customers, including packing, labelling and expediting via sea or air including full destination service in Sudan. NGO's, Embassies and individuals are among our regular customers.
Supervision - Reporting
Cargo owners having experienced untimely delays or even worse scenarios; damage to their valuable cargo will appreciate the premium service PAW Freight & Shipping Ltd. provides; namely a follow-up and reporting unequalled by other forwarders in the Sudan. Our experienced and highly qualified field-operations personnel "travel with your cargo", supervise and report enroute, ensuring the safest care during it's passage a cargo can have. Trucks and transport equipment used are inspected and rejected if not up-to standards, one of the main reasons among others the oil Exploration company; Lundin Sudan Limited, chose PAW as their dedicated forwarder in Sudan. In December 2004 we signed a contract with Norwegian Church Aid / ACT / Caritas for clearance and delivery of hundreds of tons relief goods monthly to Darfur for 2005, a contract awarded in competition with other reputable forwarders - PAW Freight & Shipping Ltd., being the ONLY ONE that could DELIVER!
Project Management
Drawing on the huge resources of our international as well as our local partners, PAW Freight & Shipping can offer project management for the most complex jobs involving use of specialised equipment and peak human resources. Before PAW Freight and Shipping was established, the individual partners were directly involved in the Muglad Basin Pipeline Project, handling the port operation for delivery of the almost 1,500 km pipes arriving, and later undertaking the import customs clearance and inland transport of the 6 pumping stations that were delivered by Weir Pumps / Rolls Royce to GNPOC.
