Horizon Lubricants is a truly South African company which started its operations from January 2007 at present we trade in base oil and finished lubricants. The company's head office is in Cape Town and the business operates from Cape Town and Durban. Our main focus is on small and medium business, targeting the transport, shipping sectors, motor spares and workshops. We are committed to supplying the highest quality lubricants at a competitive price and quality service.

We want to build a relationship of honesty, loyalty and respect with our customers, suppliers and people that work for us. We ensure to operate with the highest safety standards. Our Business is customer friendly. We aim to achieve our business expansion by continuing to do what we do best, that is to provide a very personal service to our customers, and to benefit those that work towards similar goals as us.

PRODUCTS

At the present we are marketing BP, Shell, and Caltex and Total. We do not have any agreements with the oil company’s. Products that we market are automotive, industrial and marine lubricants.

We aim to achieve our business expansion by continuing to do what we do best, that is to provide a very personal service to our customers, and to benefit those that work towards similar goals as us.

STORAGE & DISRIBUTION

Presently we are operating from home. We uplift from the various deports and deliver direct to the customer’s. Distribution is done on a daily basis. Customers place orders by 12pm on the day delivery will be done on the same day. Orders placed in the afternoon after 12pm are delivered the next morning. Deliveries are done by 3rd party courier when necessary.

SALES & MARKETING

At present all marketing is done by Saggie Govender, due to the fact that we are still an emerging business. Once we have established ourselves we intend to employ more staff.

We aim to grow the business by 10% to 15% every year.

COMPETITION

There is mostly the oil majors plus their resellers and also there are a few other distributors. They do not focus on the small and medium enterprises. This is the market that we intend to tap into.

PREBASHNI GOVENDER - CEO (100% shareholder)

Prebashni has a diploma in Private Secretary and Credit Management 1. She has over 10 years experience in both credit management and being PA. She has experience in credit vetting of customers, and also knowledge of the credit act. She has in-depth knowledge of debtors, being reconciliation

SAGGIE GOVENDER - Marketing Manager

Saggie has 13 years experience in distribution of lubricants and fuels. He has both customer service, supply and operations experience. He has vast knowledge of distribution of packed and bulk products, both with road, rail and shipping.
