Glassblowing Industries was founded in 1952 by Tony Haltmann and Karl Herb. From these humble beginnings the company has evolved into a dynamic concern. All our glassblowers are custom trained in house.Glassblowing Industries has worked closely with scientists and technicians in research and development laboratories throughout the country for companies like Impala Platinum, Anglo American and Sasol but to mention a few. Glassblowing Industries boasts a highly skilled team of scientific glassblowers.

In addition, Glassblowing Industries are proud to be the exclusive SA distributor of products from Borer Chemie, a European company of international repute, who have placed confidence in the vast experience of Glassblowing industries in their various products.

The vast majority of our products are manufactured from high quality borosilicate glass. In 2011 alone, more than 5 tons of glass was imported from SCHOTT.
