Liebherr Harbour Cranes
NEC has been associated with Liebherr Werk Nenzing since the late 90's as their officially appointed service agent for Namibia. Since then NEC has supplied Liebherr Mobile Harbour Cranes to Namport (Namibian Ports Authority. The port is currently operating 9 LHM cranes and 3 LRS Reachstackers.
With more than 30 years of experience in the harbour mobile crane business area, Liebherr today offers a perfect balance range of models, to handle everything from small vessel off loading up to bulk carriers and super post-anamax-size container vessels. NEC has a local service office in Walfish Bay, staffed with highly trained staff to ensure quick and reliable service to Namport in terms of spare parts and technical support.
NEC Power & Pumps, in short NEC P&P, is part of the NEC GROUP of companies which is engaged in various engineering activities in Namibia and beyond. Presently there are two major operating companies, NEC STAHL - which is a steel fabricator with strong focus on the mines - and this company, NEC P&P. The NEC Group in turn is owned by the ITTUR group which is the Namibian subsidiary of the Swedish ITTUR AB owned by industrialist Johan Hansen.
