Founded over 25 year ago, Brithol Michcoma International Limited (BMIL) started its activity as a import/export and trading company, having the African continent as its main focus. The company rapidly established itself in the importo of IT equipment, copiers, ATM's and solar energy equipment, as well as in office and industrial supplies. 

In Mozambique, where its Head Quarters for the African market is today, BMIL became the sole distributor for some of the leading brands in the world market such as Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Giesecke & Devrient, Wincor-Nixdorf, De La Rue, NCR, Cisco, Casio, Konica Minolta and BP Solar, among others, bringing to the market the best solutions in the IT and banking market. 

The founder and Chairman of the Board of BMIL, Mr. Herbert Haller, inprinted the company moto "Quality. Service. Competence." Into the company's DNA, values that guide the company still today in all its áreas of activity. Throughout the years, BMIL grew through its expansion in the European, African and Asian continent, being today present in Angola, Cape Verde, The Netherlands, Mozambique, Portugal, Tanzania and Vietname. 

Today, apart from the component of distribution and retail in our business, BMIL is reputed a software house and systems integrator, developing systems for scanning, workflow and document management, as well as systems for border control and for the issuing, management and controlo f security documents like: passports, ID cards, VISA's, driving licenses, bank cheques and others. 

BMIL also works with state of the art biometric systems that can assist in verification, identification and registration of individuals, from a refugee camp to a bank account holder. 

Born and raised in Africa, BMIL guarantees the implementation of turn-key projects to its customers, by using a single point of contact between the customer and multiple vendors and ensuring the appropriate know-how is used to keep the projects on schedule and on budget. 

Currently with a work force of over 600 staff in Africa alone, the company has undertaken several projects always with success and with an extremely high rate of delivered projects within schedule and budget. 

In Mozambique, BMIL has a security printing unit, in a secure compound with 24 hours security, including biometric access control (IRIS) and full CCTV circuit, among other security measures to giarantee integrity. The security printing unit specializes in the printing of documents such as bank cheques for over 40 banks in Africa, different ID documents, VISA's, passports and others. 

Today, BMIL is the exclusive supplier of VISA's, passports and ID cards to several Migration Services around Africa. Some of the projects we have implemented include: The issuing of 1 million new VISA's to Angola, in strict compliance to the most recent international ICAO regulations with some of the most advanced systems in this area. 

The implementation for all the consulates of Angola and in the head quarters of Angolan Migration Services of a secure system to issue VISA's for people intending to visit the Republic of Angola. A portable, biometric and easy to use system, powered up by solar panels, for the issuing of 1 million border passes for the Republic of Angola. 

The implementation of a system to collect on the ground biometric and individual information for applicants of the Angolan ID card. 

The printing and delivery of over 1 million post stamps for the Republic of Cape Verde. The continuous daily production of over 50,000 bank cheques per day for over 40 banks in Africa, incluinding 90% of banks in Mozambique and over 50% of banks in Angola. 

Implementation of a modern system for border control in Angola and Mozambique, fully integrated with migration central systems for national stop lists and Interpol lists in real time.
