Amandla Generators specialize in the design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning of generation equipment. Amandla Electrical performs the actual on site reticulation and installation. Our generators are “client specific” and we insist on visiting the prospective site. 

Amandla generators carries out a full site survey and will record and discuss details such as

1. The size of the supply authority mains bulk supply breaker and cable.

2. The size and distance of the mains cable between substation and the existing main distribution board

3. The size and condition of the main circuit breaker

4. Actual amperage readings performed and recorded across all phases

5. Loop impedance tests

6. Fault current carrying capacity and ratings

7. Survey and allocate a suitable position for the generator taking into consideration the elements, prevailing wind direction, access, security,     exhaust direction, physical location in relation to neighboring businesses or homes, weight of the equipment, re fuelling and so on

8. Existing load and required supply as well as future load and supply requirements

9. Running periods, efficiency, altitude, fuel availability, service intervals and contracts.

10. Warranty on motors and alternators

This information is then passed on to our Engineer who will design a suitable plant, specify the motor or motors as well as the correct alternator to suit the required load.

Once deposits have been paid Amandla Generators & their manufacturing partner begin sourcing and assembling the required equipment. Generally the machinery will be delivered to site within 4-10 weeks of order acceptance (depending on unit size and product availability) Amandla electrical then complete the civils and reticulation work (usually two days) and hand over the generator set to its new owner.
