Gulf Drug Company (GDC) is a licenced Zimbabwean pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Currently GDC manufactures oral liquid dosage forms, and is working towards manufacture of other dosage forms including tablets, capsules, creams and ointments.

Gulf Drug Company upholds the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as given in the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on the Quality Assurance of Pharmaceuticals which guidelines are adopted by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), for regulating manufacture of pharmaceuticals products.

Pharmaceuticals for the African Markets

Production is undertaken in conditions that meet current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) as outlined by World Health Organization (WHO) and enforced by Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ). We develop products that are safe, effective, of high quality and affordable, to meet the healthcare needs of the markets we serve in.

A new manufacturing plant was completed in 2013 with resultant licensing the following year. The manufacturing plant presently caters for oral liquid dosage forms only whilst oral solid dosage forms are manufactured off-site by way of contract.
