This allows doctors and pharmacists to customize a medication that meets the patient’s specific requirements. Historically, all medicines were compounded, but with mass-produced drugs this is no longer the case. In 2014, Fagron acquired Dynaceuticals, a compounding pharmacy in Gauteng, which is headed by three dynamic professionals. In 2015, Fagron acquired Rausa-kem, which is headed by Professor Reinhard Uebel with 20 years of sterile compounding experience, Reakiri, the marketing and sales arm of Rausa-kem, and MarKem, a sterile compounding pharmacy in George. This powerful combination has created a unique, national organisation serving both doctors and patients all over the country.

Our team of pharmacists is headed by Professor Reinhard Uebel, who graduated with a BPharm in 1982 and completed his PhD in 1994. He lectured pharmacology at the University of Stellenbosch and Pharmaceutics at UWC. Professor Uebel is the author of a number of research publications.
