Open Access Data Centres has been established to transform the provision of data centre services in Africa, based on proven, long-standing data centre expertise, strong existing relationships with clients in Africa and well-established delivery capabilities across the continent. When fully operational, this world-class, carrier-neutral facility will deliver 4,200m2 of flexible space, supporting 2,000m² of IT white space, as well as A-Grade tech park office space.

OADC Durban is part of our initial deployment of a pan-African network of Uptime Institute Tier III certified and ISO certified open access data centres.

We have chosen to build our facility in Durban to support cloud providers and the international wholesale community in extending their business into KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa. As well as providing carrier-neutral, open access to the tailored colocation capabilities demanded by the largest and most innovative organisations operating in South Africa, the facility will also house the cable landing for the Amanzimtoti branch of the 2Africa submarine cable.
