Willmon Company Limited was established in 1995 by two brothers, William and Simon Abraham. It all started with a brain storming session as to what the next move in the business market should be in The Gambia. This led the brothers into the supermarket business when they acquired the supermarket chain "St. Mary's Food and Wine", which today has turned out to be the largest supermarket chain in The Gambia with 5 outlets around the Gambian coast.
Today, the company serves customers in most areas of the Gambia especially in the tourism, expatriate and local market. This however has not stopped the brothers from expanding. Over the years, Willmon has grown into a company that not only specialises in the supermaket business sector but into other emerging markets like the internet, banking and insurance.
