19 Years of history Founded in 1987, A&W Wong & Co was launched with three people at Pailles with a seed capital of Rs 200,000. Over the years, A&W Group has grown to be a medium size group of companies. Keeping pace with our growth, we moved from Pailles to Coromandel in 1990, then went on to build our Headquarters in La Tour Koenig Industrial Estate in 1999. Total building space: 60,000 square feet partly occupied by our own companies and partly rented out.

All our Mauritian Companies became ISO 9001: 2000 certified in 2001. Faced with the challenge of globalisation and the phasing out of the Multi-Fibre Agreement under the WTO, A&W Group went through a major restructuring strategy which was completed in 2006. The totally restructured Group is now looking forward to a new phase of growth.
