Reals Group started as Reals Pharmaceuticals Limited, a company that commenced its operation as the local scientific and marketing office of Zeneca Pharmaceuticals Limited, now AstraZeneca U.K. Today, the scope of our operations has extended beyond just being the local scientific and marketing office for AstraZeneca to becoming the sole Nigeria representative and distributor of a number of other first class pharmaceutical industries in the world. Reals Pharmaceuticals Limited was one of the first pharmaceutical companies to successfully commence the local scientific and marketing office in Nigeria. In 1996, the idea of scientific and marketing office was new to the pharmaceutical industry.

It nevertheless required creative thinking, determination, courage and patience to implement. The company was incorporated as a limited liability company in August 1995. It started operations on January 2nd 1996, with a team of six, comprising of the General Manager, Pharm, Ade Popoola and five medical representatives.

The new millennium has come with its various challenges, one of which is the very dynamic business environment. To meet these challenges, the group has gone into strategic alliance with some companies both within and outside Nigeria for contract manufacturing arrangement to manufacture REALS range of ethical and consumer healthcare pharmaceutical brands. On October 10th 2008 the group relocated to its own purposely built corporate headquarters, REALS PLAZA, located at Plot 1 Junaid Dosunmu Street, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Hitherto, its head office was situated at All Seasons Plaza, Agidingbi, Ikeja. Reals group is a very relevant and active player in the Nigerian very competitive pharmaceutical market, possessing both spread and reach in the very vast and fertile Nigerian business terrain.
