Airco, previously Dahric (PTY) Ltd, was founded in 1977 to distribute Lennox ducted splits and rooftop package air-conditioning equipment throughout southern Africa. In 1994 we aquired the exclusive right to market McQuay products through agents & distributors. Ê McQuay is owned by OYL Industries, which is part of the Hong Leong group. Founded in 1963, the Hong Leong Group has become one of the largest conglomerates in Malaysia with activities that span the globe. Besides manufacturing their own equipment under the McQuay brand, OYL also produce Dewpoint and Acson equipment and manufacture products for York and Mitsubishi. Ê Airco became a subsidiary of Grinaker-LTA in 1997 and we currently market into the following territories: Gauteng, Kwazulu Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Botswana, Free State, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Ê Our head office in Johannesburg covers Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Northern and North West Provinces. Ê McQuay products are supplied and installed by a network of approved dealersÊ throughout these regions. These businesses are responsible for the sale, installation and service of the equipment. We assist our dealers by offering them adequate stock, competitive pricing, sales support, spares and technical assistance. McQuay air conditioners are manufactured to ISO9002 and CE Quality standards and have certification for each of their factories. The McQuay R&D centre in Malaysia is the most modern in Asia and is considered to be world leaders in design and research into efficient, Ozone friendly air-conditioning solutions.
