Mikalile Trading Limited started business in the year 2000. The main business was supplying electronic goods, furniture, shoes, baby gifts and general merchandise to different shop owners on the Copperbelt, Kabwe and Lusaka.Having been in supplying business for three years, we decided to open our shop in Lusaka in 2003.In 2004 we opened two more outlets within Lusaka. In 2005 we extended our branches by opening one in Livingstone.In 2006,we opened the sister company “ Mika lodge limited” which is also a success and is doing very well currently.Date of incorporation: The company was incorporated on 6th March 2006 under the company registration number 61724; its head office is currently at plot 2A Cairo road Lusaka.In the year 2006 the company opened two outlets in Kitwe and Chipata. With our steady expansion we opened a bigger furniture shop in Lusaka in 2007.In 2009 we opened two more big furniture shops along Freedom way and Northmead.In 2010 we opened another sister company Mika Hotel limited.Business outlets: currently we are operating a chain of shops numbering seven. Four of which are in Lusaka, while Chipata, Kitwe and Livingstone each has one outlet.Products and sources: We import home furniture, office furniture and equipments, electronic goods, kitchen ware, baby gifts and many more from around the world. We deal directly with the manufactures from South America, Middle East, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Thailand and South Korea which makes our prices very competitive.The company provides quality but affordable goods.Ownership: Mikalile Trading Limited is a wholly owned Zambian company.The company has permanent work force of fifty people.Future plans: Our vision is to open more outlets and widen the range of product and be the leading suppliers of quality goods as required by our consumers: Diversify our business into manufacturing and real estate, Hospitality industry like Hotels.
