Lilongwe Mechanical Development Ltd also trading as LMD TRADING HOUSE is a reputed and well known company established in 1969 and engaged in direct import and distribution of all types of Automotive Batteries, Tyres, Protective Gear/Wear etc. The company imports goods from U.K., USA, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Malaysia, Turkey, Korea, China, India, Dubai, South Africa and Zimbabwe. We stock all kinds of automotive batteries and tyres to meet the rising demand in malawi for Auto parts, tyres and batteries. We supply to all automotive dealers in Malawi.

We also ventured into motor vehicle tyres, batteries of which we are sole distributors of Ling Long brand tyres and Visca Power batteries. We gradually kept on expanding our business importing various types of goods.

The company’s main office functions are in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi with a very big showroom and having two branches, one in Limbe, Blantyre to facilitate and getting closer to all our customers who are in the southern region, the second branch in Mzuzu to facilitate our customers in the northern region. The company has expanded its business activities by using its fleet of trucks; pick ups that can be used for transportation of goods for special delivery arrangements to all parts of Malawi. The property where we operates and conduct all our business from belongs to the company and that we have got seven (7) big Warehouses and a show room, all filled up with various hardware items. Opposite the headquarters is the plumbing and electrical department with a big show room and one big warehouse.
