The management of nylon and plastic wastes have been a major environmental issue all over the world, this is because plastic and its allied products do not decompose unlike other wastes such as paper, wood etc. in view of the fact that our country have been faced with the challenge of economic sustainability and with the advent of sachet water (pure water) Nigerians are today faced with the greatest challenge of nylon and plastic waste management.
Government in all levels of governance in Nigeria today are faced with this huge task of nylon and plastic waste management, used pure water sachets and bottled water cans are common eye-sour in our streets, drainages are thereby impeded, and this affects the free flow of water channels and canals. Huge sums of money are expended by government at all tiers to construct new roads, drainage channels and canals but the menace of waste nylon and plastics have caused more harm than good to the roads, indiscriminate dumping of sachet water wastes and bottle cans into drainage channels have caused serious floods during the rains. Nylon wastes breeds mosquitoes a lot.
People in Nigeria suffer malaria and other diseases during this season. Environmentalists are seriously worried with this development and the only way out is through recycling, Health officers are also working day and night to find cures for different ailments caused by this environmental menace. Recycling is the answer to this huge problem and there should be good waste managers.
MISSION:
Our company Tong da Industries Ltd, have studied this environmental menace in our country and introduced machineries for recycling any sort of plastics and nylon wastes that have littered our surroundings. The machineries are produced with the best of modern technologies and can be used in both domestic and large scale ventures. We have imported the machineries from Asia with all the spare parts and expertise required for the day to day ruining of the machineries.
Tong da industries Ltd. have been in this business for over five years in Nigeria, helping Nigerians to start up small scale industries through Nylon and plastics recycling, Co-operative societies and other community groups have been involved in this venture as a tool for poverty alleviation for its citizens.
The economic viability of recycling business may not be easily quantified, countries such as Korea republic, China, India and Indonesia have advanced tremendously in this venture for decades, China's economic might today depends largely on recycling, huge revenues are generated daily by the Chinese government on waste nylon/ plastic recycling.
In plastic and nylon business, there is no waste, every material is equivalent to money, and this has made the business lucrative. The venture offers huge employment opportunities, keeps our streets clean and also a very laudable revenue generation outlet for both the government and its citizens, the Lagos State government is already undertaken a similar project at the Ojota waste dump site. Government will stop wasting money in drainage clearing, the environment will continually remain clean especially at this period of Ozone layer depletion that have kept the whole world worried about climate change.
