Mantrac was formed by Mansour Group in 1977 and became the sole authorised dealer of Caterpillar products in Egypt. In 1997, Mansour Group acquired Unatrac, Unilever’s Caterpillar dealership in East and West Africa, expanding its distribution and support into core African markets. Then in 2000, Mantrac and Unatrac merged to form Mantrac Group.

Mantrac Group is one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealers, distributing and supporting machinery, power systems and material-handling equipment for the US corporation in 12 countries. Mansour Group entered the automotive sector in 1975, when it was appointed as the official General Motors (GM) dealer in Egypt. When it was founded, the company’s vision was to be the “leader in the marketing and distribution of transportation products”, supported by world-class customer service.
