Hydraform manufactures block making machines. These machines produce interlocking drystacking soil cement blocks. Hydraform was founded in 1988 by Jochen Kofahl and Robert Plattner. The operation starting in a garage. Today we operate from modern offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, Uganda, Nigeria, India. Today the Hydraform building system and the machines are used in over 50 countries worldwide. Over 2000 machines have been sold. Thousands of buildings have been built, ranging from low cost dwellings to multi storey luxury houses, schools, mass housing developments, offices etc.
HYDRAFORM MANUFACTURING
The Hydraform and Vibraform machines are manufactured in a factory in Port Elizabeth and Durban Training in block production and building is provided on-site or at our Midrand blockyard.
HYDRAFORM EARTHQUAKE BUILDING SYSTEM
Through extensive research and development in conjunction with Wits University the Hydraform building system has been tested and re-designed to be used in earthquake regions. A test table is available for test's, the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. Several major projects are under way. We offer a complete Earthquake design service.
HYDRAFORM BLOCKYARD
Hydraform operates a large blockyard suppling high quality blocks to the building industry.
PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
Hydraform operates a Property Development Company ranging from site development to house construction.
