Zoscalus Diamond Store, the first Diamond Jewelry shop in Ethiopia knows that the country has the potential for Diamond Market. We opened the store with a strong belief that there is a market for the diamond jewels. Zoscalus tries to show the availability of a market for such a precious jewelry in the country for which the family has spent nine years preparing for it, mainly to have enough stock of diamonds before the start."

The store gets diamonds from people who come from Middle East and other European countries. Asked about the future of the store, We strongly believe that diamonds can be processed locally if there were ways to import gold processing machines which is still not available in the country. But we hope Gold Shop owners Association will import such a machine and give Zoscalus a chance to come up with more designs of diamonds in the future.

The price depends on the carat, clarity and cutting of the diamond.Clarity, which refers to the carbon content of the diamond determes shininess of the diamons.The lesser the carbon content, the greater will be the reflection and the price. Tadesse says diamond business requires more skill compared to gold for it requires the skill to identify the real from that of other precious stones, though it has its own testing instrument, called diamond tester.
