Arsho was the first clinical testing laboratory to be established in Ethiopia. The original site illustrated in Piazza is still the best known of the company's laboratories. Arsho is generally accepted to be the leading laboratory and the most widely respected. It was set up in 1972 by Dr. Arshavir Terzian and run by him until his sudden death in 2002. The business was inherited by his son and daughter Emanuel Terzian and his sister Araxi Demirdjian, who left their home in America to return to Ethiopian to ensure that their family business continued and the well being of staff and patients was protected.
