Yamini Builders Company Limited has been in business for over 15 years, initially offering labour services and carrying out maintenance work. In 1996 Yamini was formally registered as a partnership and continued to concentrate on maintenance and minor improvement works, but progressively increasing scope and nature of works. Its capacity in terms of plant, equipment and staff had been enhanced
 
In 1997, Yamini was awarded a contract to carry out major rehabilitation works on the Co-operative House, in the heart of the City of Nairobi. This was a major break through for the company and thereafter, Yamini Builders began taking on medium sized contracts
 
Since 1997 Yamini has increased its capacity to engage in major building and civil engineering works. This has been through taking on suitably qualified and experienced staff, acquiring plant and equipment and putting in place project management systems that ensure that the Company will meet and satisfy client’s demands – good quality workmanship, delivery in time, cost effectiveness, etc

In order to meet the challenges of the construction industry, Yamini changed its legal status from a partnership to a Limited Liability Company to become Yamini Builders Company Limited. These changes were effected in January 2002.
 
Our office operations are computerised which allows us to monitor projects progress closely. We use the latest project management packages in planning, progressing, monitoring and reporting on projects. We are able to pick up any slippage in project time and costs. This enables both the employer and us to find suitable solutions
