Bahaya General Trading Company was found by Barre Samanter In the year 1954, after he passed away the company was inherited by his son Mohamed Barre. At first the company started with importing foodstuff and exporting live stock from Somalia to other countries. In 1981 the son of Mohamed Barre (Mohamud Mohamed Barre) was appointed as the manager of Bahaya General Trading. The new management made big change in the company’s business policy and then started to import tires, batteries and auto spare parts as well.

Bahaya General Trading Company is now based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and with operations throughout Somalia and other parts of Africa. Bahaya is the Main Agent and Distributer of LingLong Tires and Dongah batteries throughout Somalia. Bahaya has played a prominent role in the development of the tires, batteries and spare parts market in East Africa over the past 33 years and is the regional market leader in tires, batteries and spare parts. Bahaya General Trading Company employs approximately over 200 people across Somalia.
